Our faith may be over 2000 years old, but our thinking is not.

 

St. Stephen's United Church of Christ stands as a beacon of faith in Perkasie, Pennsylvania. We are a place of prayer, peace, and joy to all who join us. Our community is richly diverse, with people of different ages and backgrounds coming together to worship and serve together. We welcome all individuals seeking God's love, and our doors are open to every soul seeking to welcome Jesus into their hearts.

At St. Stephen's United Church of Christ, you will find a family in faith, rooted in tradition yet relevant to today's world.

We are each different. We look different. Our families are different. Our age, ethnicity, family makeup, and experiences are different. Yet the same Christ gathers us about the table of grace and calls us a family. With that said, all are welcome to come and enjoy the good word of God. 

 

We believe that God is still speaking; that God's WORD is constantly being interpreted, generation by generation, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

 

We gather as a community in worship each Sunday, traditional, yet with a finger on the pulse of today and tomorrow. We are a church of traditional music yet exploring the full range of musical faith expression. Our service for a particular Sunday emphasizes a theme for the day.

 

We believe that Christ sends us forth to be disciples in today's world by sharing Gospel love with all whom we meet and welcoming those we encounter with hospitality.

 

We are the body of Christ. In our body, all are welcome, for only when all of God's people are together is the body complete.

 

You are free to ask any questions; to explore what you believe; to not have all the answers. Here you may come as you are, for we are as comfortable worshiping in blue jeans as we are in fancy clothes.

 

Come and join us as we study the Scripture, not only to understand the words and meanings but to see how it intersects with the world we live in today.

 

As the body of Christ, we seek to reach out into our community, helping to positively affect the lives of those whom we encounter with a WORD and presence of Hope and Love in a world that too often seeks to separate and divide.

 

We are a church with a heart in mission, believing that our service is an extension of our faith.

 

We are a "Safe Space" church--meaning all who impact the lives of our children and youth have completed relevant background checks.

 

We are the UCC! Welcoming, growing, ever-changing, but relevant in today's world.   And we invite you to come and experience the presence of God with us!
